This program  promises to be both exciting and informative. Delving first into the foundations of great portraiture, we will study    lighting and posing in depth. Learn the traits of a classical and timeless Walden Color Study or Beau Visage painting as well as the more intimate look of a Walden Black and White Fine Art Relationship portrait. Along with learning studio lighting and its many facets, we will discuss natural  light, how to see it and more importantly  how to find it. After that, we will move on to posing, learning how to become comfortable posing your clients while mastering the skills needed to make your poses impacting and flattering. While these fundamentals will be a key part of our time together, we have much more we expect to accomplish such as: Originality and why it is so important, especially in today's market.

  • How to find "YOUR" personal style!
  • Designing and planning your sessions with your clients for the success you desire.
  • Creative ways to add value to your images.
  • Emotion - why it's important and how to inject it in your art.
  • Mixing different styles of portraiture in your business successfully.

While the how to's will be the heart of this program , we will combine it with other information that affects our success as portrait photographers. You will come away a more knowledgeable image-maker with a renewed vision and purpose.

We promise to challenge traditional thinking as we lay out bold ideas that have worked for us for over three decades. Join Beverly and Tim and hold onto your seats as we start our journey together at Winona School!
